Fall Swim Session

Our Fall Session is on its way.


This season will be Hannah’s final session before we pause until spring, making it a special time to join us in the water. Public registration is now OPEN and we can’t wait to welcome families back into the pool for another season of growth, connection, and joy.


Session Details

📅 Session Dates:

  • Tues/Thurs: September 9 - September 25.

  • Wednesdays: September 10-October 1.

📍 Location: To be included in email- Hood River two locations

Classes are intentionally small, giving every child the space to be supported and seen. Whether it’s a baby’s first splash or an older child preparing for swim team, each lesson is guided with care, play, and respect for the water.


At Held In Water, our teachers bring not just years of experience but also deep care and attention to each child. Every class is shaped by connection, safety, and joy in the water. Here’s a look at who will be guiding your little ones this session:

Meet Our Instructors & Their Available Classes

Hannah Freeman — Founder & Instructor

Founder of Held In Water. With 25+ years of experience in infant water safety, holistic health, and somatic therapy, Hannah leads all Parent & Baby and Semi-Private classes for children under 4. Her classes focus on trust, body awareness, and joyful connection—building muscle memory through daily water rituals and respectful play.

    • 11:25–11:45 - Baby & Parent Class - 6 spots

    • 12:30–12:55 - Group Class - 2 spots left

    • 2:45–3:10 - Baby Class - 2 spots left

    • 4:25–4:50 - Toddler & Parent Class - 1 spots left

    • 10:30–10:50 - Private Lesson - 1 spot

    • 11:30–11:50 - Semi-Private (2–3 years) - 2 spots left

    • 12:10–12:30 - Semi-Private (2–3 years) - 2 spots left

Sophia Smith — Instructor

Sophia has been teaching swim lessons since her teens, sharing her passion for water with swimmers of all ages. A former competitive swimmer and two-time team captain at the University of Vermont, she brings both expertise and enthusiasm to every class. With a background in Elementary Education and years of experience as a waterfront director and swim coach, Sophia creates a safe, fun, and supportive environment for learning. Please note: Sophia’s classes are not for brand-new beginners.
